Once upon a time, we found our own Grease love story. The university dandy meets the “good-girl” and the bets were on: would their love last? Well, 22 years later they invited eight of their closest friends for an adventurous cosmopolite weekend ‘En toute simplicité’ meaning ‘in all simplicity’.
Anais & Seigfried’s three day wedding weekend had the perfect combination of adventure and elegance representing them: a French couple based in Casablanca, Morocco. The venue choice was obvious, we searched and quickly found an oasis in the heart of Marrakesh’s bustling medina. The Riad’s interiors had a blend of Roman style with the vibrant mystique of Moroccan tradition reflecting the cosmopolitan journey of the couple and the traveler lifestyle they wanted to share with their best friends. The true theme of the wedding – Cosmopolite Culture.
The wedding reception was our most important mission. We were inspired by the venue with its Roman touch and the couple’s story. If ‘in all simplicity’ was a guideline, we still wanted to make it as special as possible within the budget. And, the more we exchanged dialogue with the bride, the more we were certain we needed an opulent table setting for the reception dinner at least! We agreed that the contrast between a glamourous reception at The Riad and a visit to the Agafay desert the next day would be ideal. Quad biking on the rocky dunes followed by a dinner under a Bedouain tent and a night in mud huts with no electricity was definitely going to take their friends back to the “in all simplicity” theme! Okay, we did add a little fire-show during the dinner, but that is just part of the culture, nothing too opulent…
